Large Antique Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers

1900 - 1920
Description

A very large and extremely impressive antique chest of drawers in burr walnut. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1910-1920 period.

The quality is absolutely amazing, this has wonderful details throughout. It has a beautifully shaped front and very interesting shapely ogee bracket feet. The drawers are graduated in depth & have top quality brass handles, plus locks. They are also solid oak lined, and have fine hand cut dovetailed joints. This chest has stunning burr walnut grain patterns throughout. The top & drawer fronts are all cross banded in walnut.

This is very large and very heavy! We have recently had it re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age & it has a lovely warm colour.
