Description

For sale is a good quality Victorian Mahogany, Satinwood Banded and Marquetry Inlaid Writing Desk by James Shoolbred & Co, the moulded pediment above a bevelled glass mirror plate flanked by four small drawers and a pierced brass gallery, the red leather and gilt tooled writing surface above a central frieze drawer flanked by two small drawers, on square tapering legs with brass capped feet and castors. Overall the desk is in good original condition, showing only minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The original leather is worn but in good usable order.
