These handsome Edwardian metamorphic library steps which transform from a high stool date from the early 20th century and is a wonderfully versatile piece of antique furniture.

This well made stool which is made of mahogany uniquely unfolds to easily transform into library steps and has beautiful yellow / light green leather inserts with gilt decoration to the 2 steps and the top.

Dimensions when closed as stool: 45 cm (17 3/4") Length. 28.5 cm (11 1/4") Width. 82 cm (32 1/4") Height.

Dimensions when open as Library Steps: 45 cm (17 3/4") Length. 54.5 cm (21 1/2") Width. 82 cm (32 1/4") Height.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some small chips, surface scratches and marks. Has a beautiful patina and nice rich colour. Leather has some fading.
