A Rare Late Georgian Rosewood What Not.

A Lovely Rosewood What Not With Drawer.

We bring to you this outstanding late Georgian (early Victorian) rosewood gallery top What Not believed to be made around C1820-1830. This absolutely stunning What Not is in fantastic original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically cleaning and waxing to a lovely sheen.

This What Not is constructed of rosewood incorporating a gallery top with finely turned finals to the corners. The What Not has 3 display shelves supported by finely turned typical Georgian style rosewood upright pillars and finishes to 4 turned rosewood legs standing on its original solid polished brass cup castors. The lowest shelf features a smoothly working finely constructed dovetailed drawer complete with its original finely turned knobs. The display stand is constructed with wooden screw threads, there is no excess movement or play in the What Not and the tops are flat with no bowing or twisting.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique there are some small repairs and imperfections here and there. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
