Twin fusee Bracket Clock by Williamson Royal Exchange LONDON - Flame Mahogany Pad Top case signed back-plate. Williamson is a well recorded London maker, only the best were working out of Royal Exchange in the late 19th century.
The movement is super quality, very heavy plates and shaped pillars, and signed on the back-plate. Travelling cock and an adjustable London pendulum complete the rear view of the clock. The movement has maintaining power and has STRIKE / SILENT under-dial work operated in the usual way by a small lever at the top of the dial.
The case is inlaid with brass and has a cast bezel and convex glass around the 8" dial. The clock is in good working order and has been stripped and re-built by us. It runs for a full eight days keeping excellent time throughout - striking on a beautifully crisp nickel plated bell.
