A Lovely Early Mahogany Pull-out Dining Table.

A fantastic solid mahogany 4-6 seater table.

We bring to you one of the finest examples of a late Georgian to early Victorian solid Mahogany pull out (pre wind out) table believed to be made between 1830 - 1840. This almost flawless table has been cherished and is in fantastic condition with a lovely French polished finish with a lightly faded original colour with lots of patina and character.

The impressive yet simple solid Mahogany tabletop sits on its pull out frame (which works smoothly without sagging, keeping the top perfectly flat) that descends to 4 substantial tapering octagonal finely turned legs terminating to its 4 original beautifully polished cup castors, making it very easy to move.

This table has 1 additional leaf giving this table a small overall form when the leaf is not in use or quite a large table when the leaf is in. This table can manage to accommodate 4-6 chairs and be used as a formal dining room or even a breakfast table. This item is in great condition for its age as shown by the photographs however being an antique item of this age there are blemishes and scuffs here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage.

We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.

Please also note that the additional leaf is not original to this table but has been re made from an original leaf off another table from a very similar period. This is how we bought the table but it has been done to an excellent standard and is of a very similar colour.
