Antique French Napoleon III Button Back Armchair

19th century
Description

A French Napoleon III button back armchair, circa 1870, with waisted scroll back and scroll arms over a sprung seat raised on ring turned supports terminating in horn and brass castors.

The seat and springs are good with no lumps or bumps. The upholstery is a little worn in places and two of the buttons have their fronts missing. The chair is useable as it is, however I can arrange re-covering with my upholsterer - please contact me for further details.

89cm high, 73cm wide (outside arm to outside arm), the seat is 57cm deep and 39cm high.
