Gents 9ct gold Longines Flagship watch, 1961.

The watch has a calibre 340 17-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The dial is fully signed and the serial number 11,700,706 dates it back to 1961 (the calibre 340 was in production from 1960 until 1963).

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks for London (import mark), 1962, together with the Longines and Flagship logos and the Poinçon de Maître mark for the Swiss case maker Guillod & Co. The case back also has the B&Co mark for Baume & Co, importers of Longines watches to the UK and the Commonwealth. The case is in good condition, just light surface marking, nothing too serious at all.

The winding crown is a later plain replacement.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial has been professionally refinished at some stage in its life. Original hands, a seconds sweep and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
