Large 19th Century Oak Box

An unusually large antique oak storage trunk. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior with a green felt lining to the inside of the lid. There are exposed dovetail joints to the corners and old iron carry handles to either side. The trunk is raised on a plinth base.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good, rustic antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, staining, and some shrinkage splits to the top (pictured), along with further wear to the front and sides. The antique oak storage trunk remains structurally solid and sound with good tight joints. Some evidence of old historic wood worm in places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
