All drawers are fitted with their original solid brass swan-neck handles. Of excellent construction in solid mahogany with attractive "plum pudding" mahogany veneers and of generous proportions. The tambour opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeon holes, stationary drawers and a baise lined pull-out writing surface. The writing surface is surrounded in satinwood banding, this banding continues to the exterior of the desk. The tambour roll top is lockable (key supplied). The whole desk stands on wonderful original lignum vitae castors. This fine quality desk is offered for sale in excellent condition, with a wonderful colour and patina. An opportunity to acquire a lovely genuine period desk of a very rare design.
