Andros Antiques has dated this Mahogany Chippendale Writing Table to the Edwardian era.

The generously proportioned legs have a particularly good shape to them with a bold cartouche on the knee and terminating in a glorious scroll toe. The rails of the table are decorated with blind fret incorporating yet more meticulous carved detail. The lower and upper mouldings are also carved.

The central drawer is of a very good depth offering a generous amount of storage, and the drawer itself is a secret drawer and not immediately obvious and so not spoiling the lines of the piece. The top has carved decoration to the edge and is lined with a distressed antique green coloured hide with a good amount of tooling.

This table is finished all round so can be placed in the middle of a room. It is sure to make a statement wherever it is placed.
