Beautifully designed and made with a lovely attention to detail, this desirable brooch dating from c.1920s is made of rare and precious materials.

Demantoid garnet is a rare gemstone and the most valuable in the garnet family. Its vivid green colour beautifully accents the rose gold of this brooch.

Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

Marked 15 on the back.

In excellent antique condition.
