Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The hinged sides of this tray flatten to an oval shape. The beautifully grained center is surrounded by a wide border and reeded detail.
The condition colour and condition are good and the tray has its original patina.
The stand is later, perhaps c1900, this is sound and very good quality.
This antique butlers tray is ideal as a coffee table or drinks tray.
