Description

A striking 19th century mirror with chinoiserie lacquered pediment and frame.

The black ground is an excellent foil for the red and gilt painting which depicts figures and traditional Chinese garden scenes. The bevelled plate has slight foxing, this adds to the charm of the mirror and does not impede the reflective quality.

The condition is good and the mirror is ready to hang in a period or modern setting.
