George V Silver and Tortoiseshell Box London 1923

Description

A pretty George V era silver, and tortoiseshell inlaid with silver, box with hallmarks for London 1923 on the lid and base. The makers mark is present but is rather unclear. The hinged lid closes sweetly and the inside of the lid is mirrored. The mirror is aged - a nice vintage look - but it is intact. The tortoiseshell and silver inlay are perfect. The silver base and other parts are in good condition with a good gauge of silver. This was probably a rouge or lipstick box - the mirror is the perfect size for checking your lipstick is perfect!
