Good Elizabethan chest or coffer in native Welsh oak, the lid with a moulded edge fixed with original wrought iron hinges to the box made from single planks, the front with knotched sides and the ends with V-shaped feet. There has never been a lockplate, which is unusual.
In original untouched condition wth a wonderful colour and surface patination.
