Description

Superb quality late 19th.c. brass mounted mahogany marble top washstand or dressing table c.1890. Original marble top in beautifully figured rouge griotte stone with a small shelf and splashback supported on shaped sides. Thumb moulded edges and a shallow raised lip to the main top. Over two drawers and a good sized two door cupboard (internal depth 19"). Extensive brass mouldings to the drawer and door fronts, continued on the sides and plith. Brass drawer knobs, gilded flowerhead mounts and brass flutes to the lovely turned columns flanking the doors. Raised on turned feet front and rear, also brass mounted. Oak goundwork, drawer linings, and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
