Large Silver Mounted Turquoise Opaline Glass Scent Bottle, Birmingham 1891

Description

This is a stunning 19th Century silver mounted turquoise glass scent bottle. The cylindrical glass body with traces of gilt decorations. The neck mounted with a fully hallmarked hinged silver lid. The inner lid gilded. Complete with clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

Maker's marks partially erased.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "r" for 1891.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Dimensions:

Height: 10cm / 4.2 inches

Diameter: 6.5cm / 2.5 inches.

Condition:

Very good

Glass in perfect condition.

Gilding rubbed at places, commensurate with age.

Delivery:
