Rare Novelty Silver Aide Memoire Applied with a Cat by Crisford & Norris, Birmingham 1924

Description

This unique and rather wonderful solid silver aide mémoire or notebook was made by the excellent silversmiths Crisford & Norris who specialised in silver Novelties. The plain cover applied with a sitting cat. It is hinged and maintained in place by a side pencil. The interior lined in red leather and complete with the original notebook, most pages still present .

Hallmarks:

C&N for Crisford & Norris.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "z" for 1924.

Condition:

Very good

Legible hallmarks.

Good hinge

Clean interior

Original Pencil,.

Height: 8cm / 3.3 inches.

Width: 6cm / 2.2 inches.
