A sweet late 19th century Dresden porcelain monkey band figure of a violin player. Finely painted; dressed in a powder blue jacket with yellow striped breaches and lilac and floral striped waistcoat and wearing a wide brimmed pink hat. Underglaze blue crossed swords marks to base and incised numerals.
He measures 13.3cm (5 1/4'') high and 6cm (2 1/8'') wide.
Condition: the bow is broken off where it meets the violin and the head of the violin is broken off below his left hand. A small chip to the rim at the back of his hat. No restoration.
