Antique Metalware 16thc / 17thc Small Bronze Pestle & Mortar. French C1580-c1600

A superb small late 16thc / early 17thc Bronze Pestle & Mortar...it has a tapered shape with a corbelled edge and
 
moulded heel...it is richly decorated with fourteen pastillages all identical with a beaded hat and a border of
 
scallop shells....so nice to have it complete with the original pestle....excellent condition.
 
French. C1580-C1600.
