As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this stunning quality pair of Meiji period 1868-1912, circa 1910 cloisonné enamel vases, the emerald green silver wire vases unsigned but undoubtedly the work of the Hayashi workshops and most likely Hayashi Kodenji II, the highly skilled artist has captured various butterflies and moths in a style and with a quality that is instantly recognizable, multi colored cloisons of enamel sit between intricate silver and flattened silver wire techniques literally bringing the insects to life, fascinating attention to detail throughout, the colorful decoration perfectly contrasting upon an enamel green background, an increasingly rare pair of vases from the ''Golden age'' of cloisonne making during the latter part of the Meiji period, a fantastic addition to your cloisonne enamel or Japanese works of art collection.
