Description

A Victorian French drumhead mantel clock in Belgian slate. A well proportioned case with rouge marble panels. Gilt inlays to the case front. A brass surround to the enamel dial with Roman numerals. A visible escapement to the dial with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Mechanism by Richard & Co of Paris. Circa 1885.
