Description

Large William IV mahogany chiffonier side cabinet c.1830. Single long drawer with drop front on brass catches allowing it to fold flat and be used as a desk. Over a good sized two door cupboard (internal depth 17") fitted with a single adjustable shelf in the left hand side and a fixed shelf and original bottle drawer in the right. Mahogany veneered top with crossbanded edge. Symmetrically arranged flame mahognay veneers to the drawer and door fronts, which also feature classically inspired tapering pilasters to the outer edges. Solid mahognay sides. Raised on the original turned bun feet. Patch repairs to the top and to the drawer sides. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
