This fascinating clock was made by the ITR - International Time Recording Company Ltd, London and is known as an international 'slave' clock. Converted to a quartz movement, it is set in a copper case with wooden back and retains the original patina. Measures 40cm(h) x 40cm(w) x 11cm(d). The International Time Recording Company (ITR) began as the Bundy Manufacturing Company in Auburn, New York. ITR's main product line were mechanical time recorders invented and patented by Willard L. Bundy in 1888. ITR was later merged into the Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company the forerunner of IBM in 1911. From 1951-1963 this became IBM UK Timer Systems Ltd, before reverting back to using the International Time Recorder Company Ltd from 1963-1982.
