Victorian Novelty Bear Spill Vases with Glass Eyes.

Description

This pair of Victorian silver plated spill vases which are in the shape of bridled bears are made by WW Harrison & Co and date from c1877.

These charming novelty bears have nice detail including their original yellow glass eyes and have a diamond registered design mark to their undersides which date to 8 August 1877. The silver plating has worn in a few places over time but this adds to their beautiful antique look.

Maker: WW Harrison & Co.

Marks: Diamond registered design mark dating to 8 August 1877. Maker's mark of WWH & Co for W W Harrison & Co.

Weight: 420 g total for the two.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of wear / patina. Wear to silver plate. Some tiny scratches and dings.

Please note that only the two vases are included and any other items in the pictures are for scale only.
