A fine and large pair of 16th century gothic fire-dogs, probably French or English.

Originally these fire-dogs would have been either side a large fireplace. Both dogs retain their original spit hooks and bottle warmers and they also have lovely little gothic details beneath the lower legs.

The pair are in fantastic condition and are a must for your country inglenook fireplace.
