An unusual and charming oak and elm wheel back Windsor chair, with an ancient strap work repair to the back, the turned and splayed legs united by a crinoline stretcher.
The chair has benefitted from some recent restoration to tighten up the joints and we believe it dates to the late 18th or early 19th century.
Condition:
This chair has had the recent benefit of being tightened up and made ready for use by my restorer. Lots of old repairs, including an ancient bit of steel strap-work which strengthens the wheel section of the back. Now nice and tight and ready to be used and enjoyed.
Dimensions:
96 cm high x 57 cm wide x 54 cm deep (43 cm seat height)
