The watch has a signed 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working well The movement is nicely patterned, an added expense at the time of manufacture for something which was rarely seen, and it is protected by an inner dust cover.

The watch itself measures 50.3mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. Overall it is in good condition with just light surface marks, all very acceptable for such an early piece.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. The original glass lenses were often replaced with the more durable acrylic lens, and it is often difficult to tell the difference. This particular lens has a small dimple and the odd faint mark but overall it is in nice condition.

The double sunk white enamel dial is in nice condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
