Large Antique English Cut Crystal Heart Shaped Box - Sterling Silver Lid

Description

A grand large example of an Edwardian heart shaped trinket box made from a heavy thick piece of crystal beautifully cut in the ever-popular hobnail design with a star cut to the base.

The solid or sterling silver lid is excellent quality with a deep repousse decorated lid surrounding a central vacant cartouche which could be engraved if desired.

The silver is of course hallmarked, for Birmingham 1903 together with the makers mark W.E.T. for William E. Turner. The interior of the lid is beautifully gilded.

Superb condition, measuring 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" x 2" tall.
