A very elegant box in white Onyx with a flourish of gold coloured polished brass sitting below the lift at the front.

The box opens to reveal the signature for the well renowned London Patentees and Makers, George Betjemann. Marked on the hinge, Betjemann's Patent 449335, Made In England; the box dating to c.1920.

Excellent condition measuring 5 1/4" x 4 3/8" x 1 5/8" tall. A lovely glossy patina.
