Aramis Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A rococo pattern has been used on the lid and is replicated in the silver shoulder. The bottle is hobnail cut within pointed arches, and the base is star cut with, unusually, a rounded up sweeping edge which joins an inset cut band uniting it with the arches. A lot of thought went into the design of this piece. The condition is excellent. The silver lion assay mark on the collar is slightly rubbed but is clear on the lid itself. An unusual and pleasing design for its kind.
