A breath-taking early 19th century snuff spoon in the form of a horse. Exceptionally well carved with fine detailing to the horses head, the mane and the harness. Great attention has been paid to the buckles and straps. And even the horses hooves are well defined. There is a certain amount of wear to the bowl but it has developed a deep and rich amber patina. A rare and wonderful thing.
