French Kingwood Inlaid Escritiore Circa 1870

Description

Superb quality mid 19th century french kingwood, tulipwood and profusely inlaid shaped fronted escritiore with rouge marble yop. The fall front with fully fitted interior. having single oak lined drawer to top and three further drawers under fall. Wonderful inlay set in to quarter veneered panels and quarter veneered sides. raised on short cabriole legs. Ormolu mounts to corners, feet and bottom frieze. Complete with keys to each drawer and fall. All in superb un-touched original condition with hardly a blemish. Wonderful deep honey colour with fine waxed patina. Lovely item.

Size; 54" high, 26" wide, 16" deep.
