Sevres style porcelain refers to ceramics created in the manner of the French Royal Manufactory of Sevres, distinguished by cobalt blue ground colours, hand-painted vignettes depicting classical or romantic themes, and opulent gilded ornamentation or metal mounts.

These decorative vases were constructed using hard-paste porcelain, painted with ceramic enamels, and highlighted with heavy gold leaf gilding. The structural handles, rims, and base mounts were cast in bronze and chased prior to gilding, a finish known as ormolu.
