Two Scottish Georgian Dining Chairs, Probably From Fife

One in mahogany with needlework trap seat, the other in stained oak with board seat.
 
I know of a set of chairs, identical to this mahogany one but in fruitwood, which came from a large country house in Fife and both these chairs were purchased locally. Similar designs are known in North American chairs of this period.
