Description

A good George III mahogany bergere armchair which retains all the original cane work. The roll over top rail with moulded detail leading to upholstered arm rests which are supported on reeded columns. The superb chair has Gillows style reeded front legs and sabre back legs and has particularly unusual and original brass cup castors with each having 2 brass wheels and adjustable brass cup covers. The cushion is not original and is a much later replacement. Dimensions:- Height…38’’/ 96.5cm. Width…24’’/ 61cm. Depth…30.5’’/ 77.5cm. Seat Height…14.5’’/ 37cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
