Antique Vanity Jar - Sterling Silver & Tortoise Shell Lid - 1910

Description

A really wonderful example of it's kind, so very decorative in every way. The crystal jar is cut in the ever-popular deep cut hobnail design and a star cut to the underside.

The lid fits perfect well with a thick tablet or antique Tortoiseshell inset to the top, framed with a beaded trim and inlaid with a very pretty silver pique inlay.

The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham 1910, Edwardian in era. Excellent condition, measuring 2 3/4" tall with a lid diameter measuring 2 1/2".
