This is an exquisite little silver cream jug, with a gilded interior, almost certainly by William Cooper, London 1851. In mid-18th century style it has excellent engraved, repousse, floral decoration, a shaped spout and a blank cartouche. There are no personal engravings and there never have been. The triple c-scroll handle features an acanthus thumb grip and a 'bird's head' terminal. Raised on three trefoil-shaped, jointed feet it has engraved shell attachments. The hallmarks are clear. The maker's mark is worn but identifiable. Standing firm and straight, this piece is in excellent antique condition with no damage, losses or repairs.

Height: 10.5cm (About 4.25 inches)
Width - handle to spout: 9.5cm (3.75 inches)
Weight: 115 grams
