Antique French Leather Top Writing Table

1900 - 1920
Description

A gorgeous antique French writing table of lovely proportions. This was made in France around the 1920-30’s.

It is predominantly made from inlaid king wood, with an inset leather top and finely detailed gilt bronze mounts.

The quality is superb, with many fine and intricate details. The gilt metal mounts are beautifully cast, and the inlaid wood is executed with great precision and care. The inset leather top is gold tooled and hand coloured. The top has a beautiful shape, this is finished on all sides so can be used as a free standing item.

We have just had this French polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Width – 34 inches , 87 cm

Depth – 20 inches , 52 cm

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 60 cm
