Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
1850. 23" x 53" dressing mirror, angle adjustable and flanked by twin pedestals each with four mahogany lined drawers of graduated depth. Sparkling satinwood veneers across the piece with beautiful and extensive hand painted decoration in green and red, an unusual detail. Turned mirror supports and drawer knobs, also painted to match. Raised on a moulded plinth with padded foot rest at the centre and original castors. Clearly stamped Lamb Manchester on one of the drawer fronts. Unfortunately there is some evidence of historical woodworm. Otherwise excellent colour and condition with only very minor wear to the paintwork.
Dimensions: width 64", depth 20", height 66".
