A joyous late 19th century Austro-Hungarian gilded solid silver necklace set with opals and pearls and decorated with colourful hand painted enamel. The style is typically Austro-Hungarian but it is quite rare to find large opal pieces, and even more so to find antique enamel in such lovely condition, with no evident chips or cracks. The beautifully decorative chain fixes with a tongue and box clasp, incised with pattern on the side and back and in good working order.

The necklace is in excellent antique condition.

Size: 41cm (15.5 inches) long, plus around 6.5cm (2.5 inches) for the pendant drop.
