Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.

These tables were hand carved in Japan for Liberty & Co during the early 1900’s, they were commissioned by Liberty as part of their more exotic range of antique furniture when there was fashion for everything Japanese. Made in numbered sections for easy packing and transportation, and assembled at the “Eastern Bazaar” in their Regent Street headquarters in London.
