This Edwardian Inlaid Rosewood Drop Leaf Occasional Table is of an unusual but very elegant design. The three legs not only have a profusion of inlaid line decoration but have exceptionally fine turning to them with a particularly refined rope twist. The underframe is also inlaid, and displays a very generous shape, with a turned finial to the centre point.
The top has some wonderful figuring to it and is inlaid with lines. The two leaves have floral marquetry motifs, and when they are up, makes the top into a useful size with a delightful kidney shape to it. With an inlaid curved back rail, this table can be viewed and admired from any angle, even if displayed centrally in a room.
Presented in excellent fully restored condition. This highly decorative table would be a focal point in any room setting.
