Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It features a fancy brass escutcheon and beautifully shaped door which opens to reveal 2 removable shelves. The door locks and comes with a working key. Would make a great hall cupboard or would work well in a bathroom perhaps.

Good colour and patina. Lots of wear and marks commensurate with age. Adapted at some point from a antique grandfather clock. Some old worm holes to the plinth base.
