Antique Victorian Mahogany Writing Table

Description

A wonderful antique Victorian mahogany leather top writing table. This was made in England, it dates from the 1860-1880 period.

It is of excellent quality, with finely turned mahogany handles and legs, sitting on original brass casters. The top is nicely moulded and has an inset leather writing surface.

The leather has been hand coloured and gold tooled, the solid mahogany carcass has all been recently re-polished. This is in excellent all round condition for its age, with plenty of patina and character.

Depth – 20 inches , 51 cm

Height – 29 inches , 74 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 61 cm
