A magnificent 19th. C. monumental carved oak hall bench.The shaped top flanked by recumbent griffins above the arched centre with carved Green Man, fruit and flowers. The back having 3 panels with Griffin and the tree of life between stylised dolphin heads and fauna. The seat is hinged and lifts to reveal a useful storage area. The arm rests in the form of recumbent lions below acanthus carved detail. The base section of inverted breakfront form having further carved lion’s heads, fruit, flowers and masks. The whole supported on a moulded plinth base with hidden casters. Condition- Very Good and original with no damage and of very good colour.Dimensions:- Height…59’’/ 150cm. Width…48.75’’/ 124cm.
