Large English Sterling Silver Pill Box - Tortoiseshell & Silver Pique Inlay - 1916

Description

Quite large for a pill box, ideal if you are looking for a larger than average example, of course it makes a wonderful decorative trinket box. The box has a diameter measuring 1 7/8" and stands 1" tall.

Made from English sterling silver it is hallmarked for London 1916, together with the makers mark C Bros I think for Clifford Brothers.

The lid fits very well and is inset with a large tablet of Tortoise Shell, beautifully inlaid with an intricate silver pique inlay.

Excellent condition.
