with marquetry shell inlays to the mahogany case. An architectural pediment with brass finial. Case edging inlays. A silvered engraved dial signed 'Tognione & Co. Bristol'.

Tognione of Bristol is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working circa 1810.
