Regency Rosewood Twin Section Tea Caddy.
A superb example of a regency rosewood tea caddy dating back to c.1820.The tea caddy is cross-banded in Tulipwood, it features brass lion mask handles to the sides, it sits on four wooden feet with a mother of pearl key escutcheon and a fully working lock and tasselled key.
The box houses a red leather interior to the back of the inside lid with twin rosewood tulipwood cross-banded lids that have bone handles to the centre.
A wonderful piece of rosewood.
The box measures 19 x 12 and stands 14 cm high.
